Summer Vacation, Part 1 – Baseball! | Southeast MO Photography

We just got back from a really great three week long visit with family, and I indulged myself with personal photos.  And, I want to share some shots from our trip, but so not to overwhelm, I’m going to break it up  into a few blog posts  :)

Part 1:

We got an invite to a Cardinal’s game during the 2nd week of our visit. Hubby and I hadn’t been to one in years (I’d only been to one back in high school), and our oldest hadn’t been to one ever.

It was a blast! The kiddo enjoyed it, hubby and I enjoyed it, and I am soooo glad I took my camera to capture the memories!

Technical note:  I shot the game on Kodak Portra 800 (35mm) -  loved that one film covered the daylight and night scenes both amazingly well!

*I’ve since scanned in a few of these negatives on my own, and realize how green these are!  Boo for quickie drug store scans!  I’m going to toss a bit of geekery in here now.  The left image was the same negative, scanned by me on the Epson V500 using the standard software.  Right image was from a local Walgreen’s.  I’ve still got to practice with my scanner, but I mostly prefer my results!
