The bride was gorgeous, the groom was handsome, and you could definitely feel the love!

It’s April- time for more FILM awesomeness!  I know it seems like it’s all I share these days, but I promise, things are  picking up  I’ve got two weddings under my belt this month, and easing back into family sessions, whew!

For April, our group of ladies decided on the theme of details, and while I’m not sure how everyone will interpret it, I went random… Just tidbits, and little details of normal life.

COFFEE!  That one little detail that gets me through the day  And, in cute cups!

Making your kid happy by taking a few seconds to buckle in her babies.  One of those details you miss with older kids!

My Target find plates  After collecting a ton of household stuff after 13 years of military life, I tend to buy something small to decorate each new house.

This time (the last time since we’re in retirement now!), it was plates.  And they were the first thing I hung up, even before the movers were done!
I think they pair well with my Etsy find rooster sign from the last kitchen.

We did, however, manage a day without kids!  Hubby and I made the most of it by heading up to St. Louis for the day.  We did a few errands, and then enjoyed our time.  I (at 30 years old and having grown up in the area) had never been up into the Arch, so we decided to fix that!  We were also able to catch Warhorse at the Fox Theater for my first live theater experience, and it was amazing!

After a moving process that took almost a year (selling, traveling back and forth to see the hubby while he worked his new job and we were still at the old  house, new house shopping with one person 500+ miles away, and two closings), we are finally where we meant to be, and FINALLY settled in!

I am happy to say though, that February was a FUN month for my personal shooting.  These locations include the side of the road (yay for no one thinking anything of someone pulled off on the shoulder with cameras LOL), church, and my mother’s backyard!

We started out January in Alabama, wrapping up the end of a very long moving process.  Not a lot of cold down there, and New Year’s Day was spent mostly outside with the kids, with the oldest on his new bike (yay, Christmas!), and the youngest figuring out the mechanics of pedaling!

And, then the day after we got up here, it snowed!  Our oldest has experienced lots of the cold stuff while living in Germany, but the youngest had not.  She got to make snow angels, and said over and over how excited she was!

I did shoot a part of another roll just driving around the area too.  I grew up here, but the kids have only been here on vacation.  Lots of stuff to check out and introduce them too!  No worries, it was still plenty cold

Our holiday celebrations have been pretty laid back- decorating, (very little)  baking, and Christmas day spent in jammies playing with new toys, and spending time together as a family.
